A varsity letter is an odd thing to award for inner work. Nobody watches the training, there's no season, and the only opponent is your own wiring. Which is exactly the joke: this M went to the Varsity Integration Dept. anyway, and came back overgrown with roots, ivy and mushrooms.

The rewiring on the banner is real enough. New connections in the brain are grown, not granted, and they're grown the way any letter is earned: by showing up again and again after the big game is over. In psychedelic therapy that's integration, the weeks of ordinary practice that turn one large experience into a changed life.
