The highest card closes the sequence. A black mushroom at the centre of the drawn card, with the widest line of the four beneath it: return to oneness.
This is where the deck lands, pointing past the self entirely. Researchers measure something close to it and call it ego dissolution, and the intensity of it tracks how meaningful people rate the experience afterwards. The Ace carries it because it is the biggest idea in the set, not because it is the last.
